Digital Marketing Campaign Drives Recruitment

To increase awareness and enrollment in degree and certificate programs with prospective students, we worked with Chesapeake College’s Office of Institutional Advancement to design and launch a digital marketing campaign. The first phase of a multi-platform initiative launched November 1 and leveraged their recent branding. Showcasing Eastern Shore students, the messages were designed to resonate with and reach their target audience in a relevant and engaging manner. Two compelling variables influenced our work. First, community colleges across the nation are experiencing declining enrollment due to a robust economy and shifting demographics. Second, with the explosion of social media and digital platforms, the media landscape has fundamentally changed how college’s recruit students.

DC-Area Home Builder Wins Prestigious Award

Choptank Communications’ client EYA was recognized by the editors of Builder Magazine for innovative practices and commitment to environmentally friendly construction. EYA received the 2016 the William S. Marvin Hall of Fame Award for Design Excellence in September. EYA Receives Wm. S. Marvin Hall of Fame Award for Design Excellence EYA, a developer of more than 40 sustainable neighborhoods close to existing transportation, employment, and entertainment centers in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, is this year’s home builder recipient of the 2016 Wm. S. Marvin Hall of Fame Award for Design Excellence by the editors of Builder Magazine. The annual award is presented exclusively to one U.S. developer and two architectural firms who have made significant contributions to the nation’s residential housing industry.

IRONMAN Events Deliver Economic and PR Boom

Events generate large sales, foot traffic for Eastern Shore businesses IRONClub Maryland, the non-profit organization formed to support large-scale, high-impact endurance events in Dorchester County, today released the results of an economic impact report revealing that the 2015 IRONMAN races attracted 3,500 participants and generated almost $5.5 million for the region. The findings were announced at the Dorchester Visitors Center during a morning reception recognizing new sponsors and board members including an unveiling of a locally fabricated metal IRONMAN sculpture.
